Provision and Presence Part I

Heading into the holiday season, it’s easy to become frazzled with a long list of to-do’s and to become sidetracked from joy by the drive to meet (or exceed!) real or imagined expectations. Suddenly, we find ourselves in a spiritual desert when we’d really rather be experiencing that “peace on earth and goodwill to all people on whom God’s favor rests.” In this 3-part video devotional, Cassia examines God’s provision and presence for the Israelites in their own desert wanderings with some encouragement for us today.

  1. Cassia,
I have a brief and distant connection with Dr. Scott Stripling who, I believe, is connected to the seminary you received your Master’s degree from. I was actually looking up info about him for our church as a speaker and noticed your interview with the seminary president at TBS. I appreciate your testimony regarding your walk with the Lord and His leadership in your life to pursue additional education. As well, I was particularly drawn to your book title regarding Clothing ourselves. I am a 40 year decorating professional in Texas – turned – sewing teacher. While needing still to update my website, you can learn more about my work at http://www.sewmcallen.com. I started a new group last Tuesday in my home studio and am going to treat it more like ministry. Sewing classes will be included, but I wanted to let you know that I want to buy your book and consider incorporating it into my classes. I LOVE the pink ballerina tuille skirt and floral tennis shoes!! My sister in law lives in a beautiful home in Spring and we will be passing through during the holidays sometime (probably several times) between now and the new year. Maybe we can connect! Much love in Christ! Mrs. Lisa K. Morrow

PS: I listened to your November 29,2022 video marveling that it’s nearly been a calendar year since I fell in my kitchen the days after my birthday & MOM’s Nov. 29 and fractured my elbow the day after turning 65!! I was triple insured with Medicare AND BLUE Cross Blue Shield and my new Mutual of Omaha G plan! Talk about the provision of God!!!

    1. Excited to hear what God is up to through your sewing (and people!) ministry! New Woman New Clothes includes questions at the end of each chapter that groups can use to discuss the material. Love to hear how it goes. Blessings!
